Hello and welcome to AstronomyLog.com!  We're here to help you and other amateur astronomers plan and log their observations quickly and efficiently, earning recognition for your skills.

By following the suggestions of the Astronomical League and the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada and keeping a record of your observations here, planning your next observing session in pursuit of the the next club or certificate will be much easier.  When you have completed all the requirements for an award, it will be easy to print out your log for that award to show the appropriate authority.

The goal of this website is to help you learn the sky, get more enjoyment from your observing sessions and make it easy to receive the recognition for your growing skills.

I created this website because it was something I wish for after I bought my first telescope.  It's been useful to me and I hope it works for you too.
